These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of vengalath.com (the "site") and any software development or consulting services provided by Amrith Vengalath ("I", "me", "my"). By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Use of the site

You may read, share, and link to the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights;
  • attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure; or

Unless stated otherwise, the content on this site, including articles, text, images, and design, is owned by me and protected by copyright. Code snippets shared in blog posts may be used in your own projects, with attribution where reasonable. Trademarks and brand names mentioned belong to their respective owners.

Comments and submissions

If commenting or submission features are available, you are responsible for what you post. Content must not be unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or spam. I may remove or edit any submission and take no responsibility for content posted by others. By submitting content you grant me a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and moderate it on the site.

Professional services

The site is a portfolio and blog; nothing on it is a binding offer to provide services. Any engagement for software development or consulting is governed by a separate written agreement, statement of work, or quote agreed between us, which sets out scope, deliverables, timelines, fees, and payment terms. Where those documents conflict with these Terms, the engagement documents prevail for that work. Invoicing and refunds for services are described in those documents and in my Return and Refund Policy.

The site displays advertising (including Google AdSense) and may link to third-party websites. Ads and external links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. I am not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third-party sites or advertisers. How advertising data is handled is described in my Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While I aim for accuracy, I do not guarantee that the content is complete, current, or error-free, and it is not professional advice you should rely on without verification.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Liability arising from a paid engagement is governed by the relevant engagement agreement.

I may update these Terms from time to time. The "date" above reflects the latest revision, and continued use of the site means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala, India.
